I will overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to publicize the upcoming bout.

Former two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters met for the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually going ahead.
